Understand what is public

Checks do not require an account #

You can use the scanner without creating an account or connecting a wallet. PeelSignal does not collect KYC documents or ask you to prove ownership of an address.

The input is for a public token contract address. Do not enter personal notes, secrets or identity information.

Data used for a check #

The scanner sends the requested chain and contract address to the server. The server reads supported contract, issuer and project sources, then records resulting evidence, check outcomes, statuses, timestamps, policy and coverage versions, and unknowns in a receipt.

Project receipts preserve the reviewed public profile, extracted source claims and content hashes. These records describe the token check. A receipt does not verify who requested it or establish that its reader owns the token.

Rate limiting stores a short-lived hash of the client network address and time window. It does not store the raw address in receipt records. Old rate-limit windows are removed after two minutes when requests arrive. The documentation sidebar may store a local layout preference in a cookie.

Receipts are public #

Anyone with a receipt link can open its stored observation and JSON representation. Sharing a link makes its contract address and evidence visible to the recipient.

Receipts are intended to preserve observations. Do not use them to store confidential information or assume the URL provides access control.

Search and analytics #

Documentation search runs in your browser. Search queries are not sent to an external search provider. The site currently has no analytics integration.

Loading the site and running a check still require network requests. Hosting and source infrastructure process the request data needed to provide those services; using the scanner is not a promise of network anonymity.

Evidence links open the source's website. That site has its own privacy practices. Review them before sending it personal information.
